'Alright Guy' hitmaker Todd Snider dies at 59

Todd Snider, known for his signature tune Alright Guy, has passed away at the age of 59.
Known for blending music genres folk, country, rock and blues, Snider breathed his last on Friday, November 14, while hospitalised after a diagnosis of walking pneumonia, according to a Facebook post shared by his friends and family.
Shortly after his passing, tributes began to pour in. In addition to confirmation from his loved ones, his Facebook page and website also released statements, reflecting on the unfortunate loss.
"Aimless, Inc. Headquarters is heartbroken to share that our Founder, our Folk Hero, our Poet of the World, our Vice President of the Abrupt Change Dept., the Storyteller, our beloved Todd Daniel Snider has departed this world," the caption of the social media post began.
Accompanied with a black and white image of the late artist, the heartfelt message continued, "Always creating rhyme and meter that immediately felt like an old friend or a favorite blanket. Someone who could almost always find the humor in this crazy ride on Planet Earth."
"He relayed so much tenderness and sensitivity through his songs, and showed many of us how to look at the world through a different lens," they raved over the departed soul in the Saturday, November 15 post.
"We love you Todd, sail on old friend, we’ll see you again out there on the road somewhere down the line. You will always be a force of nature," they added before concluding with some verses from Snider’s song, Like A Force of Nature.
