‘Black Panther 3’ confirmed as Ryan Coogler’s upcoming blockbuster
Denzel Washington hints at appearing in Black Panther 3
Ryan Coogler confirmed that Black Panther 3 will be his next movie, exciting fans who have been eagerly waiting for the continuation of the Marvel saga.
The director, known for his hit film Sinners, made the exciting announcement during a panel at Deadline’s Contenders Film: Los Angeles on Saturday.
Speaking to Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr., Coogler joked, “If it was anybody but you, I would say, ‘I can neither confirm or deny.’
But we’re working on it hard. … Yeah, it’s the next movie.” His words officially put an end to months of speculation about the next chapter of Wakanda.
In November 2024, Denzel Washington hinted that he might appear in the film while promoting Gladiator II in Australia.
Coogler later confirmed that he is creating a role specifically for Washington, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming project.
The Black Panther story began in 2018 with Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, following his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War in 2016.
Boseman returned for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame before his tragic death from colon cancer in 2020.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, released in 2022 and honoured Boseman’s legacy and introduced Letitia Wright’s Shuri as the new Black Panther.
With Black Panther 3, Coogler promises to continue the story of Wakanda while paying tribute to Boseman.
Moreover, fans are eagerly waiting for action, emotion and the heart that made the franchise unforgettable.
For the unversed, the next chapter is officially on the way and excitement is already building around what comes next in the MCU.
