LAHORE: The Punjab Home Department has directed all authorities concerned to immediately freeze and seize all properties belonging to the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), which has been declared a proscribed organisation under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
The official notification, addressed to provincial secretaries, Counter Terrorism Department and all deputy commissioners across Punjab, refers to an earlier letter dated October 24, 2025, that shared the proscription notification of the TLP.
According to the directive, all types of property—movable or immovable, tangible or intangible, owned or controlled directly or indirectly by the TLP—must be seized immediately in accordance with Section 11-O of the Anti-Terrorism Act. Authorities have been instructed to submit a detailed report within 48 hours to the Provincial Home Secretary, containing information about the properties and persons affected by the freeze or seizure. The reports are to be prepared in line with the Ministry of Interior’s Notification No. SRO 778(I)/2020 dated August 24, 2020. The directive, issued by Section Officer (Internal Security) Irshad Ahmad, has been forwarded to the Ministry of Interior, chief secretary, IGP, principal secretary to the chief minister, and all divisional commissioners for information and necessary action. The home department has emphasized that the matter should be treated as a top priority.
