CHITRAL: Flooding near Lowari Tunnel at the Ziarat Drain caused seven vehicles to be swept away o Monday, as Chitral lost its link to Dir via land.
According to details, all seven vehicles belonged to a construction company and included two dumpers, two double cabin vehicles, one charging machine and two small vehicles.
The flooding has caused Chitral's land route with the rest of the country to be cut off.
According to security sources stationed at Lowari Tunnel and National Highway, torrential rains at Lowari top caused flooding in two drains at the Chitral side.
Police, along with the locals and Chitral scouts are carrying out relief work in the area.
