ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has issued an arrest warrant for Sheikh Waqas Akram in the Sangjani Jalsa case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and ordered the authorities to block the passports of Omar Ayub and Zartaj Gul.
The case was heard on Tuesday by ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra. During the proceedings, the court directed that the passports of Omar Ayub and Zartaj Gul be blocked and a report on the matter be submitted to the court.
Due to the non-appearance of Sheikh Waqas Akram, the court issued a bailable arrest warrant for him and directed the police to ensure its execution.
The court later adjourned the hearing of the case until December 3.
