Shehbaz, Erdogan, Aliyev to celebrate Victory Day in Baku
ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev will jointly celebrate the 5th Victory Day of Azerbaijan in its capital Baku on Saturday. This will mark the first occasion that the three leaders will be commemorating the day jointly.
This was disclosed by a senior Azerbaijan diplomat speaking to media at a reception hosted by Azerbaijan Ambassador Khazar Farhadov in connection with the Victory Day on Wednesday evening. The senior diplomat confirmed that Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to meet Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, senior Azerbaijani leadership, and Turkish President Erdogan.
While addressing the reception on Wednesday, Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani asserted that Pakistan-Azerbaijan bonds are not transactional, but rather historical and enduring, rooted in shared principles of respect, justice, and equality.
