Five burnt alive as coach collides with gas bowser on Makran coastal highway
QUETTA: A tragic road accident on the Makran Coastal Highway near Kund Malir claimed the lives of five people, who were burnt alive after a passenger coach collided with an LPG bowser, police and rescue sources reported on Wednesday. Two others sustained serious injuries in the incident.
According to initial reports, the accident occurred at Daltos Hill, near Kund Malir, when a passenger coach traveling from Karachi to Gwadar collided head-on with an LPG bowser coming from the opposite direction. The impact caused both vehicles to catch fire, resulting in the deaths of five passengers who were trapped inside the burning vehicles.
Rescue officials said that several passengers managed to escape by breaking the windows and jumping out of the bus, preventing an even greater loss of life.
