ISLAMABAD: Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) Mansoor Usman Awan called on Acting President Yousuf Raza Gilani at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday and apprised him of various reforms undertaken within his office and reiterated full commitment to serve the nation.
Gilani underscored the pivotal role which the AGP office, being the chief legal adviser to the government, plays in upholding the rule of law and ensuring swift dispensation of justice to cultivate democratic values.

Meanwhile, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Mohammed Ali Randhawa, called on Acting President Yousuf Raza Gilani at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday and briefed him on the ongoing development schemes in the federal capital and the progress of key infrastructure projects.
Gilani emphasised that befitting arrangements should be made for the upcoming Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), scheduled to be held in Islamabad on 11–12 November.
He said the event would bring together parliamentary leaders from across the world and that the federal capital should reflect Pakistan’s hospitality and organisational excellence during the conference.
