Steve Harrington not returning for Stranger Things 5?
‘Stranger Things’ fans panic as Steve is nowhere in new trailer
The new trailer for Stranger Things season five left fans both thrilled and uneasy when they noticed one familiar face missing.
Steve Harrington, iconic character loved for his loyalty and humour, was barely spotted in the teaser, sending viewers into a frenzy.
The short clip teased the last battle between Hawkins’ heroes and Vecna, showing powerful moments with Eleven, Mike, Dustin and the rest of the group.
But as fans rewatched the clip, many realised Steve hardly appeared, if at all.
Played by Joe Keery, Steve grew from a typical high school show-off into the show’s most dependable friend.
However, his sudden absence led fans to worry that something tragic might happen to him in the final chapter.
“The lack of Steve in this trailer concerns me,” one user wrote online, while another warned, “Don’t hurt our Steve like you did Eddie.”
A few fans studied every second of the video, noticing Dustin driving Steve’s car and Nancy covered in blood, calling the hints “a bad sign.”
Some fans believe that the missing scenes could mean a shocking death, while others think the Duffer brothers are hiding a surprise twist.
Moreover, the creators have promised that season five will answer every mystery surrounding the Upside Down.
Until then, fans are holding their breath, hoping their favourite babysitter makes it out alive when Stranger Things returns on November 26.
