Buckingham Palace releases King Charles video message as he strengthens reign
King Charles, Queen Camilla bid farewell to special royal tour
King Charles wrapped up a special royal tour after making history as a British monarch, indicating that he is not stepping back from his royal role anytime soon.
On October 24, Buckingham Palace released a delightful video featuring the King, Queen Camilla, meeting Pope Leo XIV during their Vatican City tour.
The monarch's team celebrated his big milestone as he became the first King in centuries to pray with the Pope.
The statement alongside the video reads, "It has been a particularly special visit to The Holy See, joining Pope Leo XIV to celebrate the Catholic Church’s 2025 Jubilee Year."
"For the first time in many centuries, the Pope and The King prayed together in a unique ecumenical service in the Sistine Chapel, and His Majesty, accompanied by The Queen, attended a further ecumenical service in the Basilica of St Paul’s Outside the Walls."
King Charles sent a clear message to the world with his back-to-back royal engagements and bold moves like praying with the Pope that he is strengthening his reign despite health struggles and Prince William's involvement in key decisions.
For the unversed, earlier there were strong reports that the Prince of Wales stepped up behind Palace doors, especially in Prince Andrew's title drop case.
Now, the monarch appears to be dispelling speculations about passing his role to his son in the near future, demonstrating his determination and resilience to serve his people.
