CHITRAL: Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif is expected to arrive in Chitral today on a private visit. He was previously scheduled to attend the wedding of his staff member but could not do so due to his visit to Sharm El-Sheikh.
The PM will arrive in the Gahirat village by helicopter, where he will meet the newlyweds. Afterwards, he will also meet a delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) at a private guesthouse in the same village.
According to local sources, representatives from all the political parties of Chitral would also meet the PM and are expected to discuss key issues of the region, including the construction of Chitral-Shandur, Chitral-Garam Chashma and Bumburet roads and the installation of a gas plant in Chitral city, for which land was purchased during the previous PMLN government but the project was halted after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf came to power.
The political representatives would request the PM to ensure the implementation of these long-delayed projects. It was reported that the PM would inaugurate the construction of a Danish School at Saidabad during his visit.
