Imran’s lawyers to conclude arguments in Toshakhana-II case today
ISLAMABAD: The legal team for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi, is expected to conclude its final arguments in the Toshakhana-II case on Thursday (today).
On Wednesday, the Special Court of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) held a hearing for over five hours regarding the alleged unlawful retention of a jewellery set from Toshakhana. After the prosecution wrapped up its arguments, Imran Khan’s legal team began its final arguments and requested an adjournment until Monday. The court, however, rejected the request and adjourned the hearing until Thursday (today).
Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand resumed the hearing at Adiala Jail, where Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and their defence counsel were present. Following the completion of the final arguments, the court is expected to either announce or reserve its judgement in the Toshakhana-II case.
