PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday suspended the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s notification about the privatization/out-sourcing of public colleges and schools across the province.
The court barred the implementation of the notification until October 29, while seeking replies from all parties concerned within 14 days. A two-member bench comprising Justice Muhammad Naeem Anwar and Justice Kamran Hayat issued the order while hearing a writ petition filed by Advocate Muhammad Hamdan. The petitioner made the provincial government, the advocate general of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, chief secretary, Education Department, and other officials respondents in the case.
