Magistrate abducted as armed men attack court in Kharan

QUETTA: Unknown armed men attacked a local court in Kharan district of Balochistan and abducted Magistrate Qazi Muhammad Jan, and set the court building on fire.
According to security sources, the assailants stormed into the court located in the Maskan Qalat area on Monday, kidnapped the magistrate, and torched the premises before fleeing. The fire destroyed furniture and official records. The attackers also took away two vehicles. Security forces cordoned off the area soon after the incident and launched a search operation to track down the culprits. Further investigation is under way.
