RAWALPINDI. Additional District and Sessions Judge Farhat Jabeen Rana has dismissed the post-arrest bail applications of the secretary of a cemetery and its gravedigger named in the Sidra murder case filed in the Pirwadhai police station.
The court ruled that since according to the police investigation, both the secretary of Pirwadhai Chhati cemetery, Saif-ur-Rehman Khan, and gravedigger Rashid Mahmood were aware of the secret burial of the girl who had been killed on the orders of a Jirga.
Instead of informing any relevant forum about it, they tampered with the record of receipt number 78 of the cemetery.
According to the record, both are involved in this crime, while there is also CCTV footage of the cemetery and other evidence. Therefore, in the light of the available evidence, both the accused are not entitled to bail.
