Sentebale Chairwoman: Charity in strong position after split from Prince Harry
King Charles' son founded the charity with Prince Seeiso in 2006 as a tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana
Prince Harry's former charity, Sentebale, is in strong position to achieve great success' following his bombshell public split from the south African-based organisation, Chairwoman Dr. Sophie Chandauka has said.
King Charles' son founded the charity with Prince Seeiso in 2006 as a tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana.
Following the split, the feud between Harry and Dr Chandauka continued to attract media attention, with her accusing accusing him of causing 'incalculable damage' to the charity.
For those unfamiliar, as Sentebale approaches its 20th anniversary, the organisation has released their Annual Trustees' Report and Accounts.
Within the report was a reference to a 'challenging period in the public eye' as part of 'unplanned 2025 events.'
Now, Dr Chandauka also issued a statement in the report, acknowledging the charity's decisions over the year and outlining plans for the years ahead.
'This 160-month period marks Sentebale's bold transformation: building stronger programmes, governance, and financial resilience,' she began.
Dr Chandauka concluded: 'As we reach our 20th anniversary next year, Sentebale is poised to soar, empowering oven more children and young people across southern Africa to claim their futures!'
Meanwhile, the charity also made the decision to end its fundraising polo matches, an apparent effort to distance itself from the Duke of Sussex, who has long been associated with the events and regularly participated.
