Bilawal slams flotilla interception, demands release of ex-senator, other detainees
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday condemned Israel’s interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla and the detention of doctors, activists, and ex-Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan.
In a post on social media platform X, the PPP chairman demanded the immediate release of Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and all others detained by Israel, as well as the opening of humanitarian corridors to Gaza and justice for Palestine.
“Food and medicine are not threats. Israel’s interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla, detaining doctors, activists, and Pakistan’s Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, is a flagrant assault on international law and conscience. We demand immediate release, humanitarian corridors to Gaza, and justice for Palestine,” Bilawal said in his post on X.
