Toshakhana-II case enters final phase as testimony of last two witnesses recorded
RAWALPINDI: The trial of PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana-II case has entered its final phase, with the special court recording testimony from the last two witnesses.
Monday’s hearing at Adiala Jail continued for seven hours before being adjourned until Wednesday, October 1, due to a power outage. Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand conducted the proceedings, with both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi present, along with members of their family.
During the session, the PTI legal team cross-examined eyewitnesses and continued questioning NAB officer Mohsin Haroon. On October 1, defence lawyer Qosin Faisal Mufti is expected to conclude the cross-examination of the remaining two prosecution witnesses.
In total, 20 witnesses have recorded their statements in the Toshakhana-II case, with cross-examination of 18 already completed. Present in court were Imran Khan’s three sisters, cousin Qasim Zaman, and Bushra Bibi’s sister-in-law. Cousin Faisal and Advocate Salman Safdar represented the accused.
