Positive ties between Islamabad, Kabul serve both nations: Muttaqi
KABUL: The foreign minister of Afghanistan met with a delegation from Pakistan’s Jamaat-e-Islami, according to a Tolo News report published on its website on Sunday.
In the meeting, Amir Khan Muttaqi described visits between Afghan and Pakistani delegations at various levels as important, adding that positive relations between Kabul and Islamabad benefit both nations.
Mohammad Ibrahim, who led the delegation to Kabul, also stressed the need to improve relations between the two countries.
Zia Ahmad Takal, Director of Public Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said: “Minister Muttaqi praised Jamaat-e-Islami’s social services in Pakistan, expressed appreciation for their decades of hosting Afghan refugees, and recognized the important role of religious parties in Pakistan.”
