'Wicked' star reveals shocking details about movie promo rules
'Wicked' stars are forced to do THIS thing when they are associated with the franchise
Mary Kate Morrissey, a recent star of Wicked on Broadway, has spilled the beans about the movie adaptation and the strict rules that come with being part of the stage cast.
In a recent TikTok video, Mary Kate shared that while she was in the show, she wasn't allowed to participate in any promotions or collaborations with the movie.
"We couldn’t influence. There was no creating happening around that. We had to say no to everything," Mary Kate explained in her video. However, now that she's no longer part of the Broadway cast, she's free to share her thoughts and excitement about the movie adaptation.
"But I’m no longer with Wicked on Broadway, so…" she trailed off, hinting at the fun content she's looking forward to sharing with her fans.
As someone who played Elphaba on Broadway from March 2024 to March 2025, Mary Kate has a unique perspective on the movie adaptation.
She's already attended a screening of the first movie alongside other current and former cast members, and she's clearly enthusiastic about sharing her thoughts and insights with her fans.
The actress's revelation has generated buzz among fans, who are eager to see what kind of content she'll be sharing about the movie.
With the second part of the Wicked movie adaptation coming soon, fans are expecting a lot from Mary Kate, and we can't wait to see what she has in store for us.
