Islamabad:The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will provide free burial services to the residents of Islamabad at graveyards under its control.
The 16th Board meeting of CDA which was held with the Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa in chair, decided to waive off charges for grave digging and coffin carrier bus services to facilitate the citizens of Islamabad.
The CDA Board also decide to further improve the standard of the Capital Hospital as the meeting discussed various proposals for revenue generation plan for the hospital and specifically decided to revise the current fee structure for private patients under the Institutional Based Private Practice (IBPP).
The revenue generated from the hospital's revenue generation plan would be spent on the improvement and provision of facilities at the hospital. The CDA Chairman directed that computers and equipment be provided to digitize the Capital Hospital and for the cashless system.
The CDA Board meeting decided to send a proposal to the Federal Government for naming Service Road (East) in Sector F-10, Islamabad, after the Paris Olympics gold medalist Arshad Nadeem.
The CDA Board meeting also considered the CDA Internship Policy 2025 and decided to hire graduates from Pakistan's top universities for internships at the CDA. Under the internship policy, graduates from top public and private universities in Pakistan will be selected transparently and on merit. It would not only fulfill the human resource requirements across all CDA formations but also provide a workforce fully equipped with modern skills.
The meeting approved the allocation of space for the establishment of an Anti-Narcotics Force office adjacent to the New Islamabad International Airport. Similarly, the meeting decided to approve, in accordance with rules and regulations, the request for land allocation for the construction of a police station in Islamabad.
The meeting approved, in accordance with rules and regulations, the rental agreement with the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) for the use of the landfill site for Islamabad's municipal solid waste management.
The meeting also approved an extension in the service period of the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) for transporting solid waste from Islamabad's waste transfer stations (I-9, I-11 and any other sites) to the dumping site on Chak Beli Khan Road, Rawalpindi.
The CDA Board meeting approved the adoption of the rules and procedure for the upgradation of Statistical Assistant employees in Grade 15 and 16 of the Authority, in accordance with the Finance Division 's Office Memorandum of December 16, 2019.
