Who's Charlie Kirk's 'secret sister'? Everything you need to know
Despite being brought up in the same moderate household, the two siblings hold contrasting beliefs
After the tragic death of 31-year-old conservative Charlie Kirk, all spotlight shifted to his family, revealing his younger sister, Mary Kirk.
It is surprising to note that despite being brought up in the same moderate household, the two siblings hold contrasting beliefs.
While Charlie Kirk had championed the conservative side of political ideologies, Mary, on the contrary, backs Bernie Sanders, slavery education, and the supporter of cultural funding, which highlights a surprising contrast within the Kirk family.
It’s been nearly a week since the assassination of conservative Charlie Kirk, but the spotlight on his personality continues to capture the public eye.
Charlie Kirk, 31-year-old conservative and founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was shot dead at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, during an outdoor campus event. The single shot that was fired by the assassin struck in the neck and proved fatal.
Charlie Kirk was a close friend of US President Donald Trump and VP JD Vance. After his passing, everything from his personal life to his financial portfolio to his family members has all come under the spotlight.
Although Kirk’s family of four, including his wife and two children, has been grabbing the public spotlight, there are many who didn’t know whether he was the only child to his parents or had a sibling.
However, recent reports reveal that Charlie Kirk has a younger sister, Mary Kirk, 29, who holds different political views.
Who is Mary Kirk?
Mary was born into the Kirk family, which included Charlie Kirk and their parents. She is the daughter of their parents, Robert Kirk (an architect) and Kathryn Kirk (a mental health counselor).
According to the multiple media reports, the Kirk family grew up in suburban Chicago in a politically moderate home, neither conservative nor liberal.
Mary did her graduation from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2019 and earned a degree in Art History, Criticism, and Conservatism.
As for the bread and butter, she works in the art world as a gallery assistant and also runs her own consulting business called Kick Art Services.
Mary is based in Chicago and, until recently, has mostly avoided the political debates.
Her social media interactions have shown that over the years her political leanings have taken a drastic shift.
The sister with "surprising" political views: From Republican roots to becoming a Bernie supporter.
The main reason many find Mary’s political leanings at odds with her brother, Charlie Kirk, who was a strong conservative voice, is that Mary’s left-leaning support for Sanders, for slavery education, and for public cultural funding places her on the other end.
