KHAR: The Loy Mamond Police Station partially damaged when militants attacked it with rockets on Saturday.
Police official Niaz Muhammad said that the police personnel responded with heavy retaliatory fire.
He said the attack caused partial damage to the building of the police station.
It may be recalled that militants had earlier planted a bomb in Inayat Killay Bazaar, the second-largest commercial centre, which was successfully defused.
Meanwhile, in light of the current security situation, profiling of all vehicles, particularly non-custom paid vehicles, has been declared essential across the district.
Police have launched a strict crackdown and impounded vehicles without registration in the limits of various police stations.
