ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja on Tuesday said his party has a clear stance that it does not support any kind of violence.

Talking to the media outside the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, he called for a transparent investigation into the egg-throwing incident and Monday’s incident. In the first incident, PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan was targeted. He said a situation was being deliberately created outside the Adiala jail and filing a terrorism FIR on a fight was a complete excess. He emphasized that stopping the political process would spread chaos in the society, every person and leader of the party should show tolerance. “Our main goal is, we talk about democracy and the Constitution, freedom of the press is part of our charter of demand.”

Meanwhile, PTI Information Secretary Waqas Akram expressed concern over the rapidly deteriorating health of Bushra Bibi, saying that she was being subjected to political victimization and inhuman treatment by obstructing her medical care in blatant violation of clear court orders.

In a statement here, the PTI spokesman stressed that such conduct was not only inhumane but also a flagrant violation of the Constitution and fundamental human rights.

He emphasized that during a recent meeting, PTI Patron-in-Chief Imran Khan revealed that Bushra Bibi had been suffering from a severe illness for several days.
