ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has assented to the Anti-Dumping Duties Amendment Bill 2025 and NIH (Reorganisation) Amendment Bill 2025.
With the presidential approval, these bills have now become an Act of the Parliament.
Following the approval of Anti-Dumping Duties Amendment Bill 2025, the anti-dumping duties will take effect from 1st of July, 2020.
The Anti-Dumping Duties Amendment Bill 2025 was forwarded to the president after being passed by the National Assembly and the Senate.
The bill has been approved to provide legal clarity on the application of anti-dumping duties on projects funded by the Chinese grants.
The decision to introduce this amendment was taken in the meeting to review progress on projects in Gwadar in October 2022.
President Zardari signed into law the National Institute of Health (Reorganisation) Amendment Bill 2025. The bill, passed by the National Assembly on August 12 alongside five private members’ bills, seeks to strengthen the structure and governance of the National Institute of Health.
