Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle has apprehended six individuals, including a high-ranking government official, on charges of corruption, fraud, and misconduct. The arrests were made following a major operation in Islamabad.
The arrested suspects including a deputy director in the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation, is accused of misusing his authority. The other five individuals are believed to be beneficiaries of the fraudulent scheme. According to the initial investigation, the group is implicated in forgery and deception related to the Supplementary Award of Built-Up Properties (BUPs) in G-14 sub-sectors.
