PARACHINAR: A man and his daughter were killed on Friday, while another daughter was injured, when gunmen opened fire on a vehicle heading towards Parachinar in Makhi Zai, Lower Kurram.
According to police, the incident took place in the mountainous area of Shamadara Baba, where Zahid Hussain was killed on the spot and his two young daughters sustained serious injuries.
They were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Parachinar, where one of the daughters succumbed to her wounds. The other remains in critical condition under treatment.
Police said Zahid Hussain was traveling with his daughters to attend a wedding ceremony at his relatives’ home in Parachinar when their vehicle came under fire in Makhi Zai.
