$1M worth luxury yacht meets disastrous end after maiden launch
Dolce Vento yacht built by Medyılmaz Shipyard sank in Black Sea after 15 minutes of launch
The luxury yacht Dolce Vento, which is at the worth of $1 million, has met its disastrous end after 15 minutes of its launch off Ereğli, Turkiye, in the Black Sea.
The incident occurred on September 3, 2025 when the yacht was sent into the water for the first time off the shore of northern Turkiye.
Within no time, the perfect launch turned dreadful as the yacht capsized after 15 minutes of first debut.
Fortunately, the owner, captain, and two crew members escaped without being harmed and swam to the shore safely in the midst of terrible scenes shown in a viral video circulating on social media.
As reported by locals, the yacht sank to the depth of 7 metres due to an alleged structural and stabilisation issue.
After the mishap, the Coast Guard was immediately sent to the scene along with the medical facilities.
The yacht Dolce Vento built by Medyılmaz Shipyard is 23.3 metres long and is valued at $940,000.
Authorities have been planning to launch an investigation into the incident caused by stability and structural flaws.
