PTI founder’s family, lawyers allowed to attend Toshakhana-II case
ISLAMABAD: Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand on Tuesday approved an application seeking permission for the family and lawyers of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi to attend proceedings in the Toshakhana-II case.
In its order, the court directed the superintendent of Adiala jail to allow family members and lawyers to attend the jail hearings. The judge specified that lawyers who have submitted their power of attorney should be permitted entry, while family members present outside the jail should also be allowed to attend.
The application had been filed by Barrister Salman Safdar, who challenged the barring of family members and lawyers from the jail hearings. The court disposed of the application after issuing the directions to jail superintendent.
