LAHORE:Two under-custody suspects were killed when their accomplices allegedly attacked a Crime Control Department (CCD) team near Walton Road in Factory Area on Friday.
According to a police spokesperson, the CCD team was taking suspects Moon and Hafeez for recovery when their accomplices opened fire in an attempt to free them. Both Moon and Hafeez sustained bullet injuries from their accomplices’ firing and died on the spot.
In a separate incident in Sabzazar, one suspect was injured in an exchange of fire with police, while in Shafiqabad, two suspects were wounded during an encounter.
Meanwhile, in Batapur, police arrested suspects Mubashir and Ramesh in injured condition.
They were shifted to Mayo Hospital. Shafiqabad police further reported that two suspects sustained injuries after firing at a police party and falling from a motorcycle near Ring Road. They were shifted to Mian Munshi Hospital. Police confirmed that all CCD officials remained unhurt during police actions.
