LAHORE:Scattered rain with humid weather was witnessed in the City here on Thursday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
The rain started early morning and continued till evening in different spans in various localities. Following the scattered rain, Wasa MD Ghufran Ahmed directed the staff to remain alert and clear the roads as soon as possible.
Met officials said seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. Moist currents from Arabian Sea were penetrating upper areas while a westerly wave was also likely to affect upper parts from today (Friday).
Met officials predicted that mainly hot and very humid weather was likely to persist over most plain areas of the country. However, partly cloudy weather with rain-wind/thundershower was expected at isolated places in upper Punjab, Islamabad, Pothohar region, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Isolated heavy falls were also expected in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.
