Islamabad:Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with patriotic zeal under the theme ‘Maarka-e-Haq.’
Flag hoisting ceremonies were held simultaneously at both constituent schools — the Foundation University School of Health Sciences (FUSH) and the Foundation University School of Science and Technology (FUSST). At FUSH, the flag hoisting was led by Maj Gen (r) Qudrat Ullah Malik, HI (M), Director FUSH, while at FUSST, the ceremony was officiated by Prof. Dr. Qaisar Ali Malik, Acting Director FUSST. Faculty, staff, and students from both campuses participated with great enthusiasm, as the national flag was raised to the sound of the National Anthem.
At FUSST, the celebration featured an energetic lineup of national songs and performances by students, reflecting the sacrifices of the past and the collective determination for a stronger, united, and progressive Pakistan. Addressing the audience, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Ali Malik said: “Pakistan’s Armed Forces, together with its people, can uphold the nation’s dignity through unity and sacrifice, and show the world that Pakistan is a great and undefeatable nation.” The event concluded with a live national song performance by students, receiving a standing ovation, followed by an Independence Day cake-cutting ceremony and group photographs.
