NOWSHERA: A transgender person was shot dead after an altercation with a friend in the jurisdiction of the Cantt Police Station here on Thursday.
Shah Nawaz alias Choti, a resident of Shikarpur in Sindh and companion of slain transgender person Ishaq alias Gori, told the police they were residing in a room in Siddique Plaza in Nowshera Cantt.
He said that they were in the room when accused Naeem alias Chang Jee, a resident of Pabbi, forced his entry into their room and started arguments with Gori.
In the meantime, he said the accused pulled out his pistol and started firing on Gori.
The complainant said that the victim sustained several bullet injuries and later succumbed to his wounds. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
