QUETTA: The Balochistan government has extended section 144 across the province for another 15 days, banning pillion riding on motorcycles, wearing masks while riding, and all kinds of public gatherings. According to a notification issued by Additional Chief Secretary Home, Muhammad Hamza Shafqat, the restrictions will remain in effect from August 16 to August 31, in view of the prevailing law and order situation. Under the order, gatherings of more than five people, rallies, and public assemblies are strictly prohibited.
