ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif refused to be nominated for the prestigious Nishan-i-Pakistan award and had his name removed from the list.
The civil and military awards committee had initially recommended his name to honour him; however, upon receiving the committee’s summary, the prime minister chose to have his name struck off and approved all other nominations. The announcement came during a formal ceremony held at the President’s House.
