ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan received a gift of five pairs of traditional footwear of Pashtoon called Peshawari chappal from his fan.
A local shoemaker Noor Din from Namak Mandi Peshawar presents the gift of Peshawari chappal to Imran every year.
Specially made for Khan, Noor Din presented gift to PTI Chief in Islamabad in person.
The gift presented this year also included Peshawari Chappal prepared from the hide of goat.
Trend of wearing traditional Peshawari chappal is gaining popularity for celebrating joyful occasions like Eid.
