Kate Middleton, who returned to public life this week after missing Royal Scot, has sparked doubt about her presence at a key event next week amid speculation about her health.

The Princess of Wales, who revealed the truth about her struggle to recovery after cancer diagnosis during her Wednesday's visit to a hospital, has left fans guessing about her presence at the State Banquet next week as she was not mentioned in the official briefing for the event.

However, the Prince and Princess of Wales will take centre stage in welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte when they arrive for their State Visit to the United Kingdom next Tuesday, July 8.

The royal couple will greet the Mr and Mrs Macron at RAF Northolt on behalf of King Charles III. The future king and his wife will also accompany the French presidential couple on their journey to Windsor.

William and Kate will later join the King and Queen for the formal ceremonial welcome at the Royal Dais on Datchet Road in Windsor.

The State Banquet at Windsor Castle on Tuesday evening will see the King and Queen host President Macron and Mrs Macron, with members of the royal family in attendance.

However, Kensington Palace has yet to confirm whether or not the Princess of Wales will attend the banquet in Windsor Castle’s St George’s Hall.

It emerges after Princess Catherine made shocking revelations about her cancer journey during her visit to the Wellbeing Garden at Colchester Hospital in Essex on Wednesday, admitting: "It's a very scary, very daunting experience. It did not end once treatment was over, with patients needing to take time to find their new normal."
