Prince William shares excitement for 'historic' tour in personal message
The Prince of Wales shares a spirited personal message as the Princess of Wales takes a step back
Prince William is making sure he keeps his spirit up as Princess Kate steps back from the royal spotlight.
On Friday, June 20, the Prince of Wales took to social media to share a personal message, expressing his excitement for a “special” and “historic” event taking place in a few hours, i.e., the long-awaited match between The Lions and the Rugby World Cup semi-finalists, Argentina, in Dublin’s Aviva stadium.
A well-known sports fan, the future king re-shared The Lions’ post on his Instagram Stories along with a personal message.
“Good luck to Andy and the whole @britishandirishlions squad as they kick off the 2025 Tour tonight against Argentina in Dublin,” William, 42, wrote.
“Lions Tours are always special - the history books await!” he concluded.
Though the Prince and Princess of Wales share an Instagram account, this particular message was signed off with the initial, “W,” a typical indicator that William himself personally wrote the message.
The prince’s message comes amid a jam-packed few weeks week for the royal family, including his wife, Kate Middleton.
Though the royal couple made several joint appearances last week, including Trooping the Colour and the Garter Day service, Princess Catherine took a step back this week, sparking concern about her health.
However, sources clarified that Kate is simply “continuing to balance her return to public life” after announcing her cancer remission earlier this year.
