Prince William makes first statement after Kate Middleton new health update
Prince William expresses concerns in new video after Kate Middleton 'pulled out' from key event
Kensington Palace issued Prince William's video statement amid Princess Kate's health concerns after she was pulled off from a key royal event at the last minute.
On June 20, the Prince of Wales released a fresh episode of his docuseries, Guardians, raising concerns about a growing issue.
In a brief video clip, William praised the efforts of rangers in their work to protect the elephants of Sri Lanka.
He said, "In Srilanka, the enduring relationship between people and elephants feels more fragile than ever."
The future King added, "But rangers like Chinthaka are working to change that, guiding communities, protecting wildlife and contributing to scientific understanding of these magnificent giants."
According to William's team, the new episode featured Chinthaka and his team, who are risking their lives to rescue "injured elephants, fit GPS collars, and gather vital data that builds a map for future coexistence."
"Their work reduces harm to animals while minimising impact on humans and helps preserve balance in a fragile ecosystem," the statement reads.
It is pertinent to note that Prince William's new message came after Princess Catherine's absence from the Royal Ascot raised concerns about her health.
According to reports, the Princess of Wales is listening to her body and its needs after battling with cancer.
The mother-of-three, who gradually returned to the royal duties, was last seen at Garter Day and Trooping the Colour.
