LAHORE: Eight people were killed in a Khanewal road accident that took place on Friday, which included seven family members.
Bodies of the deceased were returned to their relatives in Lahore. Upon receiving the bodies, everyone was taken with extreme grief and sorrow.
Taj Muhammad was a resident of Shahdara in Lahore, who had gone to Khanewal to gift his daughter-in-law some Eidi. He was returning back from Khanewal along with his family when the accident occurred.
Among the deceased are Taj Muhammad, his wife Haseena, son Ijaz, his two daughters and two granddaughters. The body of the van driver, who was also killed in the accident, was returned to his family.
Taj Muhammad's son Ijaz, who died in the accident, had just gotten engaged two months prior to his death.
Earlier today, another road accident in Sahiwal had claimed the lives of five people and injured three more when a car collided with a trailer at the G.T. road.
