KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has formed a three-member committee for establishment of Shaheed Amjad Sabri Sufi Music and Qawwali Institute besides promoting Sufi teachings in educational institutions.
PPP Chairman issued these directives during a meeting with Minister/Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Culture Sharmila Faruqi, who called on him at Bilawal House today (Tuesday).
Members of the Committee shall include Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Special Assistant/Minister for Religious Affairs Dr Qayum Soomro and Sharmila Faruqi.
Earlier, Sharmila briefed the Chairman PPP about the performance of her department and the projects being undertaken for promoting and preserving culture and heritage of the province.
MPA Saira Shehlyani and former provincial minister Gullam Muhammad Shehlyani also called on Bilawal Bhutto at Bilawal house.
Deputy PM will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders and foreign ministers attending the event
