HASSAN ABDAL: Two-day death anniversary rituals of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh began at Gurdwara Punja Sahib Hassan Abdal on Saturday.
According to the media reports four hundred and forty-eight Indian Sikh pilgrims have arrived to attend the anniversary rituals.
“All necessary facilities are being provided to the pilgrims,” local administration said adding “adequate security arrangements have also been put in place.”
Maharaja Ranjit Singh was the founder of the Sikh Empire, which came to power in the Indian subcontinent in the early half of the 19th century.
The empire, based in the Punjab region, existed from 1799 to 1849.
