Chief Justice directs to beef up security of public and judges

LAHORE: The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali has directed Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab to beef up security of the public in general and the Honorable Judges in particular.

The Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab were called by the Chief Justice on Friday at Supreme Court Branch Registry, Lahore.

On June 20, SHC CJ’s son Awais Ali Shah was kidnapped from Clifton shopping mall in Karachi and could not be recovered till today.

Pakistan Bar Council is protesting against the kidnapping of Awais Ali Shah.

Lawyers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, on the call of PBC, went on a strike on Friday.

The Lawyers’ community demanded that federal and provincial governments should review the law and order situation in the country and ensure the protection of life and property of the citizens.
