Nick Frost, fan-favorite from Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, is stirring up drama after landing a role in upcoming Harry Potter TV series, as fans of the wizarding world are left wondering if Frost is truly the right fit for the magical world.
The 53-year-old actor turned off comments on his Instagram post about his role in the Harry Potter TV series after the fallout with J.K. Rowling.
He wrote on his social media: “You’re a wizard, Harry!!! Thank you for trusting me with such a loyal, gentle and courageous half-giant like Rubeus Hagrid.
“Robbie, I promise I won’t let you down."
After J.K. Rowling’s controversial comments on gender and transgender rights sparked backlash, Frost’s post was flooded with negativity. However, to put an end to it, he quickly disabled comments.
Furious fans didn't hesitate writing their opinions on his different posts, with one commenting: “The fact you’ve turned comments off on the previous post shows you know exactly why taking that role is a poor decision. You’ve lost the respect of millions, and I’m so disappointed in one of my favourite actors of all time. I thought you were better than this."
