Imran hints at joining hands with PPP in drive against corruption   

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that he could stand at a container along with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in drive against the corruption.

In an interview with Geo News program ‘Capital Talk’, Imran Khan said, “I will stand by anyone including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari who comes out against corruption.”

Khan said he had been saying for the past 20 years that corruption is the biggest issue that concerns Pakistan.

Emphasizing on the accountability of PM Nawaz Sharif, Imran said everyone could be held accountable if the process started from the Premier himself.

The PTI chief asserted that the incumbent PML-N government would not survive anymore, however, there was no threat of martial law. He added that democracy is endangered by PM Nawaz Sharif himself.

Intra-party elections in PTI would be held once issue of Panama leaks is resolved, Imran Khan said.

Defending allocation of a whopping Rs300 million for the Darul Uloom Haqqania, Imran said Awami National Party (ANP) itself had been supporting this seminary. He said more fundamentalists will emerge if students of religious seminaries are sidelined.
