QUETTA: An accountability court on Tuesday granted NAB the custody of Mir Khalid Lango for an additional fourteen days after extending his remand.
According to details, a proceeding of the Balochistan mega corruption case was held on Monday in which NAB was granted an additional fourteen days' custody of the suspect. Lango was presented before the court as his previous 14-day remand had expired.
The proceedings were heard by Justice Abdul Majeed Nasir, during which NAB authorities appealed to the court to grant them additional 14-day custody of Khalid Lango. The court agreed to the appeal and granted NAB an additional 14-day custody of the former Balochistan Finance Adviser.
Mir Khalid Lango has been in the custody of NAB and will next be presented at the court on July 4.
During the previous hearing, the court had addressed Mir Khalid Lango and told him that his people were crowding the courts. To which the suspect had reassured the court that it would not happen again.
Mir Khalid Lango, who had been serving as the Adviser to the Chief Minister on Finance, had resigned after NAB raided the residence of Balochistan Finance Secretary Mushtaq Raisani and recovered Rs 730 million.
Lango had stated that he was resigning since he no longer held moral authority to be the Adviser to the Chief Minister on Finance.
