SYDNEY: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Shahryar Khan said on Sunday that Muhammad Hafeez being out of the World Cup on account of injuries after Junaid Khan’s departure is not a good sign for Pakistan, but added that injuries are part of the game.
Speaking to Geo News, the PCB Chairman revealed that Muhammad Hafeez’s injuries are serious and therefore Nasir jamshed has been recommended as his replacement.
He added that following Hafeez’s departure the PCB has contacted the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) technical committee which will make a decision regarding his replacement after assessing the situation.
