KARACHI: The ICC has announced that the winners of the Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 will receive a grand prize of $2.24 million from a total prize pool of $6.9 million.
In a statement on Friday, the ICC revealed that the tournament's runners-up will secure $1.12 million, while the losing semi-finalists will be awarded $560,000 each. This represents a 53% increase in prize money compared to the 2017 edition.
Each group stage win will be worth $34,000, with teams finishing fifth and sixth receiving $350,000 each. The seventh and eighth-placed sides will earn $140,000, and all eight participating teams are guaranteed $125,000 for competing.
The tournament, the first global cricket event in Pakistan since 1996, will run from February 19 to March 9 with matches in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. India will play in Dubai.
Eight teams will compete in two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
ICC chairman Jay Shah said the event highlights the pinnacle of ODI cricket and emphasises the cricketing body's commitment to investing in the sport.
