KARACHI: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned "insulting and immoral behavior of Hafiz Hamdullah towards political commentator and rights activist Marvi Sirmed in a live TV show", said a statement issued here on Sunday.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari applauded Marvi Sirmed for what he said bravely facing the situation and her "defiance against the so-called religious scholars who didn’t learn how to behave and respect mothers and daughters of the nation".
PPP Chairman said that this incident should not go scot-free and even the religious scholars and Ulema should stand up because Hafiz Hamdullah’s behavior has been equally insulting and disgraceful for them and entire nation.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed solidarity with Marvi Sirmed and announced that his party will take up the issue in parliament and other forums.
