ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz met with Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong. who inquired after the Pakistani Premier's health on Wednesday.
According to details, Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong expressed his good wishes for PM Nawaz in his meeting with Maryam Nawaz. In his meeting with Maryam Nawaz, the Chinese ambassador said that he was waiting for the PM to recover fully from his heart surgery.
During the meeting, Sun Weidong also also gave a message for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had underwent an open heart surgery last Tuesday in London. After a few hours, the surgery had gone successful and the PM had recovered. One week later, Nawaz Sharif was discharged from the hospital.
Messages of support and well wishes for the Prime Minister had poured in from across the world, including prominent leaders. Russian President Vladmir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Afghanistan's President Ashraf Ghani, United States Secretary of State John Kerry and other world leaders had wished the PM a speedy recovery.
